Which lightsaber would you choose?

Taken from the fictional world of the books, films, games, toys, blogs, etc of "Star Wars" (although some have noted it as their religion too), the origin of the lightsaber here takes place. Primarily it's a combat tool and is created from the resources of special types of crystals, yet only few are allowed to wield them. But! If you could have any light-sabre you wanted, along with your preference of colour, which would you choose? I've often fantasised about having a lightsaber as a kid and still do now a bit - whirling it around the air, making that 'sssshh' sound. I guess it's kinda like using a coathanger to pretend you're playing guitar.

Anyway, given that some colours assume you to be on one side of the force - of good and evil - would that deter you? Typically the red colour is for the Sith and seen used by Darth Maul and Darth Vader, whereas the blue is prominenetly used by the Jedi, or good guys like Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi. There's a really great link to the different types of lightsabers used in the movies here.

Also of note, would you prefer the single sabered or dual sabred light-sabre. I'm guessing it requires more skill to use the double-sided blade that we see Darth Maul using, but then again, it does look pretty awesome.

However, throughout the episodes we do see other vaiations such as yellow, green and purple so we're not exclusively choosing from red or blue. But any shade or hue is OK as long as you pick it.

I think I'd pick either an obsidian black or a cigarette flare orange while being a single-ended saber.

So, would you choose a single sided lightsaber or double?
And finally, what would your particular colour be?

"The Departed" Film Review

The Departed film poster

Aggressive and off-putting, The Departed doesn’t pull any punches in terms of story-telling, dialogue and atmosphere. It’s rough, edgy and unsentimental. At its heart however is a prickly charm and a quality film that provokes and distracts with its fast pace and uncompromising style.

"The Doors" Film Review

Oliver Stone's biopic of the 60's and early 70's psychedlic band of the same name - and moreover pop idol Jim Morrison - is one of the best musical artist biography translations to film that's ever been.

Here's an excersise to find your best fit of actor/ess for your biography in film!

We all have our favourite actors and actresses that symbolise something which we would like to emulate whether it be a characteristic trait, look or even someone who you think looks like you or who chooses similar roles in film as you would if you were an actor yourself

"Bloodrayne" DVD Review

Bloodrayne VG logo

Bloodrayne, based on the semi-popular video game of a half human, half vampire (known as a dhampir) similarly correlates with the entire movies quality, that being, half decent and half crap. Or qualitatively the dhampir could resemble the like pronounced Australian bread – the damper – that’s also half baked to provide a soft and floury substance. Amusingly, both are good descriptions of the film.
